Could you just load the sysouts into a CMOD Application Group, and let them access it that way?  That way all of the diagnostic output would appear in one place, and could be archived for days/weeks/months/years?

If it's a new server, why are you trying to use a database from another server?

Can you describe the 'big picture' of what you're trying to achieve here?

I suspect you need double braces [[ ]] around comparisons with the -ne operator.  But I'm not sure which shell you're writing in, and they're all a little different and picky about that stuff.

Other / Re: Attachments on Documents ingested into CMOD

So, as I said, you could add another Application Group, or more Applications to an existing Application Group, and simply load the attachments in.  The only tricky part is that you would need one Application for each document type for attachments - One for CSV, one for word, one for JPEG images, etc. etc.

Can you describe your use case a little more?

Attachment or an annotation?

CMOD doesn't support the idea of attachments, but you could build an Application that provided that functionality, if all of the attachments were the same format.

+1 for spond...  This is the correct answer.  I clearly need to start reading the CMOD ODWEK manuals some more.  :)

Sorry to go all the way back to the original post...  But if you want the window (that a retrieved document is displayed in) to have a specific name related to the metadata, you can enable this checkbox:
Folder Window -> Field Information Tab -> Select the field name-> Defaults Pane-> View Title.

Check the online help in the Admin Client for more info.

Since the CMOD PDF Indexer doesn't modify these fields, whichever tool that produces your PDFs would have to perform this change.

The setting is there for a reason -- you don't want someone to be able to turn it off.

Best bet is to do the queries on the individual application groups yourself to get around the Folder limitations for regular users.

Windows Client / Re: Adding new accesses by multiple users

If you run into that issue again, you should be able to tweak the UID# field and try clicking OK again...  I suppose you could try that a few times if you have lots of people trying to add a bunch of users at the same time.

Seconding ARSXML for batch adding definitions, but that still feels like a bug in the client.  Either the UID # needs to be incremented at the time an Admin requests to create a new user, or the UID # needs to be assigned at the time the Admin clicks 'Ok'.

I'd open this as a PMR/SR and report it as a bug.

Either way, I think the DB2 limit is 128 characters.  Not that I've seen anyone ask, but can we bump it up to match what DB2 permits?

I'll check on the database definition - it might be that this server didn't get a proper upgrade many years ago.
